by javapierce, Monday, November 24, 2008, 21:16 (5915 days ago)

I am seeking more information on James Trotter (1816-1853) son of James Trotter. I found a burial record for 1853 but cannot find a death index on the UK BMD to order the certificate.

I have read the message that you have written about James Trotter: occupation-surgeon. My grat-great-grandfather was Francis Trotter, son of James Trotter (born in Coleford) and Jane Williams (born in Risca). I know that my great-great-great-grandfather was surgeon. Francis Trotter was born in Bristol, and he went to Seville (Spain) when he was young. Could you give me more information about the James Trotter (1816-1853) you are talking about? Is this James Trotter my great-great-great-grandfather?
Thank you.
J. Trotter

James Trotter (1816-1853): occupation - surgeon

by javapierce, Wednesday, December 30, 2009, 07:09 (5514 days ago) @ murzuflo

My ancestor is James Trotter (Occupation: Surgeon) born 27 Jul 1816 in Coleford, Gloucestershire, England. He is the son of James Trotter (Occupation: Malster) and Sarah Teague. In 1842 James Trotter, junior, married Rosina Elizabeth Langley in Devon and they had four children all born in Devon (Albert, Langley, Rosina and Lilly). The family moved back to Coleford where James died in Coleford 22 Apr 1853.
