LEIDHAM Elizabeth, LEIDHAM George & LEIDHAM Sarah (General)
Elizabeth was born 1839 and Sarah Ann in 1843. I think those dates you have might be quite late in their lives. There is no trace of them after 1851 C and by 1861 their father, widowed, had remarried and moved to Staffordshire. Unless there's a marriage for either girl I've missed I wonder if they joined their uncle in Australia some time about then. I don't have access to the Australian or emigration records. Are there any kind readers of this Forum who can contribute anything on their possible journey to Australia? Most of the family ended up settling in Barrow in Furness, and those who settled in the Forest weren't great producers of offspring. Thanks for your contribution to my knowledge of this part of my family.
