We have a marriage for a Yevane Jenkinges to a Ane Benett dated 1580 recorded on our Dymock parish records.

The date stands out as the earliest on our database.

Evan Jenkins appears on IGI as born East Dean 1680 and may be a son of above. I have found no records to confirm the birth of Evan 1680. This Evan may be the start of my family tree.

Could the transcriber of the Dymock records be asked to check the marriage date please.

In our database the marriage at Dymock of Yevane JENKINGES to Ane BENETT is dated 8th Sep 1589 (not 1580).

In looking at the transcribed file of Dymock records for this year I noticed that the record is amongst other 1589 marriage records and they are all in date order, so there does not appear to be any mistake made in the transcript regarding the date of the event.

Could the transcriber of the Dymock records be asked to check the marriage date please.
