Romany and Traveller families (General)
Hello,
I'm researching all Romany and Traveller families in the Foreat of Dean.
Names include: JOHNS, LOVERIDGE, HODGKINS/HOSKINS, SMITH, LOCK, DAVIS, BOSWELL, PROBERT.
Many were described as agricultural labourers in cansus returns and parish records.
Would love to hear from others with similar interests or names.

Romany and Traveller families
Hell,i hope this information is of some use.My mom (Megan Jones) grew up at Lydbrook.She has told me stories of a distant relative who married a gypsie from the "Forest".
The lady's married name was MARY KING. Mom said that she'd heard the story from local women from Lydbrook This would be around the 1926's.
However,i do have in possetion ,a Lead crystal Glass inscribed with the letters MK,this is (according to mom)a wedding present to MK.
