WW1 Roll of Honour Aylburton (General)

These names are found on the war memorial at Aylburton, although it seems that many were not native to the village.

VALA, 21st August 1917, Atlantic Ocean - sunk by German medium submarine "UB-54. Q-ship "Vala" ("Q-8", collier, 1,010grt, 4-12pdr, 1894); her complement and casualties are not known
UB-54 was sunk in the North Sea 11/3/1918.
