Thomas Luce THOMAS living in Lydney 1871 (General)

Please can anyone help in trying to locate Thomas Luce Thomas (b abt 1806 Thornbury Glos)and family? I have them on the 1851, 1861 and 1871 censuses living in Lydney but then they seem to disappear apart from daughter Mary Ann (b 1845 Whitfield, Thornbury)who marries Thomas Bowen in Lydney 1874) I have Mary Ann and the Bowen family well documented.

The only possible clue is that Mary Ann gives her place of residence at time of marriage as Bury St Edmunds. If the rest of the family either went into the Workhouse or emigrated how can I start looking?

Harriet THOMAS 1816 ish Thornbury -> Lydney

Thank you so much slowhands. Don't like to think of my g grandfather ending his days in the Workhouse but at last I have completed that part of the family tree.
