RED CROSS - Lydney Town Hall (General)
I have been told that my grandmother worked as a Red Cross Nurse at Lydney Town Hall during the 1st World War when it was being used as a hospital. Is there a register kept on these nurses, so that I can check this out.

I've just been reading a book 'Lessons of a Lifetime - Memories of Chepstow and the Forest of Dean' edited by Brian Rendell and Keith Childs Whitecross School, Lydney which was published in 1984. This has some more pictures of nurses and patients of Lydney Town Hall Hospital which may be of interest.
