Another 1911 Census Tip (General)

For those lucky enough to be researching a family with an uncommon name, it is possible to search for the entire family by only showing the surname. My main interest is the Marfell family of which there were 203 on the 1911 Census.
All 203 were displayed and then by using Ctrl + Print screen, I saved each of the 9 screens onto 25 images. Having printed them off, I now know what names appear on the Census and using Simone's tip I can search for the household for those old enough to be the head of a household.

This only works of course where the transcriber has used the correct spelling, so you then start on derivatives.

I have also been lucky enough to be able to search this way and then determine households. The facility to search by first name only has now been included. This can help when searching for those incorrectly spelled /transcribed surnames.
