Ann MORGAN and CATLIN family (General)
Ann Morgan was born in Kilgwrrwg, Monmouthshire about 1798. She married a Thomas Catlin on the 19th Febuary 1829 at St Mary Redcliffe Church, Bristol. On the death of her husband in 1855, she inherited from him the George Inn at Shirehampton, Bristol. She died 1865. I am aware that this birth was not in the Forest of Dean, however the forum as a number of correspondance regarding Morgan families. Is their any possibilities of a link as it is close to the border?
The CATLIN surname is predominant in Bedfordshire and Lincolnshire as well as the North West of England. My research has found very little of this surname in the Bristol / South West area. I believe that there was a doctor with this surname living in the Lydney area. Does any one have any further information?
Thank you for your help.
