Alice Elizabeth BROWN 1888 Cinderford (General)

The Alice Elizabeth Brown who married George Henry Jones in 1906 was the daughter of Tom Brown and Frances Carter Brown (nee Hunter). Tom Brown died aged 26 and Frances went on to marry Charles Goode. Alice took her new stepfather's surname in the 1891 and 1901 censuses, so was known as Alice Goode. She reverted to her birth name when she married George Henry Jones, so the register states that Alice Brown married George Henry Jones. Alice was the half-sister of my grandmother, Maud Goode.
