Joseph PUGH Of either Newland or St Briavels (General)

Hello.
I am looking for the baptism/parents of Joseph PUGH who was born in c1802 either in St Briavels (according to the 1851 census) or Newland (according to the 1861/1871). I am also interested to find out if he was the Joseph Pugh aquitted of killing Josiah DEE at Oxenhall in 1826 (according to inquest reports on this site.)
