I have one record of Sarah married to William Watkins in Aston Ingham. Does anyone have further knowledge of the Predith family name?

Hi. I thought the name rang a bell! I have been transcribing the 1861 census for Longhope, Glos, and the name is there several times. You are fortunate that you can view most of the findings online at: www.longhopevillage.co.uk
Go to the "Family History" section and then the "census" section and do a search of Predith only in 1851 and 1861. They had disappeared by 1881. You can also do a search of the parish records if you know the dates of births etc. If you contact the website too, they can do a search of their huge database for you if you get really stuck. When was Sarah around? (Not sure where you live and whether you know the local area, but Longhope is almost the next village along from Aston Ingham, and Longhope often had people moving into the village from Aston Ingham.) I thought they were mainly in Aston Ingham, as I have two Prediths who married Colwells on my tree, but if you check Hugh Wallis's Genealogical site their name is appearing hardly at all in Aston Ingham but mainly in Newent (only a couple of miles apart). If you check the name (which has various spellings)on Hugh Wallis you will find all the entries for that name and it should be possible to get some sort of family tree layout.

I have an ancestor Eliza Predith born 1811 who married George Burlow 22nd November 1836
