Just had a quick nose around Ancestry - are any/all of these your Ann/Thomas? Not sure if same person or not as variant ages. Of course it doesn't help with Ann's parents/maiden name since she married pre-census. I agree that on the John Watkins Wilce 1841 evidence, her maiden name is likely to be Watkins, though he fails to appear on censuses below with Ann and Thomas. However, if you send off for JWW's birth certificate, it will give her maiden name. Have to say I'm not convinced by Pewtner connection at present, but I don't think that an 1820 birth is necessarily a problem - might have been a shotgun wedding!
