Smiths of Whitchurch (19th-20th Century) (General)

Hi

I have a Florence Maud Smith living and married in Whitchurch in 1927. The family owned a bungalow in Symonds Yat. I am trying to find a birth place for her (b.1899) and her father Reuben George Ballard Smith.

I recently ordered the marriage certificate. He is listed as a Caterer. My grandmother remembers that he owned a Faggot & Peas shop in Wales, but this was in 1927, so he may have changed since then...

My grandmother believed that Florence was the oldest, and there were no more than maybe 2 siblings.

Any information would be greatly appreciated

Louis

Who were the witnesses at Florence's wedding ??? There are so many Florence Maud SMITH's born c 1899, but can't find a Florence living with a Reuben/George on the 1901 census.

The witnesses are her father Reuben and a man named John Stoby.

The rector looks to be a D. Octavius Thomas M.A if anyone knows anything about him
