I'm new to this site but have been reading your Forum, and have seen what brilliant results you have.
I thought someone may be able to help find any records of John Jeynes born in Westcote or could be Westoncut in Gloucester around 1808. He was married to Mary Maria, born around 1809 who came from Mathon in Worcester.
I found them in the 1841 /1851 Census with their 3 children Joseph, Henry John and Comfort, unfortunatley the mothers maiden name on Henry John and Comforts Birth Certificate was unreadable.
Any information would be appriciated

I am looking for the parents of John JEYNES born 1809 in Westmancote. I have obtained his Marriage Certificate to Mary Maria Surman 24 Jan 1826, no mention of his parents were on it. Any ideas on what I should do next? Any help would be appreciated.

Westmancote is near Bredon, Worcs.
The ancient ecclesiastical parish of Bredon with Bredon's Norton
includes five villages right on the edge of southern Worcestershire,
bordering the County of Gloucester. The largest of the villages in
the parish is Bredon, the other four being Bredon's Norton (1 1/2 miles north),
Westmancote (1 mile N.E.), Bredon's Hardwicke (1 1/2 miles S.W.),
and Kinsham (1 mile S.E.). There are two churches, the Parish Church
of St. Giles in Bredon village, and a small chapelry in Bredon's Norton.

John JEYNES 1805 in Westmancote
by Murphy, Sunday, April 26, 2009, 09:10 (5763 days ago) @ slowhands
Hi Slowhands,
Many thanks for taking the time to reply so quickly. Are you able to tell me where you had the information from, as I can never seem to find what I'm looking for?
I will look into the information you have given me. There are so many JEYNES around the Gloucester, Hereford and Worcester area, its confusing to know which one belongs to your line of desendants.
No doubt I will be asking for advice, in the not to distant future.
