Help wanted. I think I have located the graves of my grandmother and great grandmother. There are no headstones and both are much overgrown. I would like to contact any person who has knowledge of the lower graveyard at St. Paul's who can confirm my findings. Also, I need to know what permissions, if any, are necessary to carry out restoration work.

Unfortunately, church records are no longer kept at St. Paul's, most are now held in Gloucester Archives. The lower graveyard is maintained by the Parish Council but the offices have been unable to supply me with any information, hence this request.

Several years ago, I tried to find my Grandparents grave in the lower graveyard, they told me to contact the Sexton. but after several attempts, and even stamped addressed envelopes, I had no response.
They only way I found it was to find war graves, the numbers of the graves, rows etc are on the internet, from there I work out a grid, it was hard work, but evenually able to work out the area of the grave
