Walter J Williams (General)
by chrishowell , Coleford, Gloucestershire, Wednesday, May 27, 2009, 07:03 (5733 days ago)
The War Memorial in English Bicknor Parish Church, Coleford quotes one Walter J Williams, a Private in the Army. I have found Walter James Williams, aged 32, died November 1914, the Son of William and Polly Williams of Stanton, Gloucestershire but am unsure whether this is the correct person.
Can anyone shed any light on this man please?

Just to add to the confusion, is it possible that William had another son in 1887 and called him Walter James as well:-

Thanks Slowhands, I got the name from the WW1 memorial in English Bicknor Church. That's all there is except that he is given the rank of Private
