Aron HALE & Anne TRIGGE Littledean (General)

I was wondering what you might think of this. I found Aron HALE son of Edward & Hannah baptised 1741 in Littledean. I am thinking Aron married Anne TRIGGE in 1762 in Littledean. In 1763 their son Edward was baptised in Littledean. Since Aron's father was Edward and Aron's first son was Edward this makes a good guess that I have the right Aron married to Ann as is the son of Edward & Hannah? Any other thoughts? Thanks.

Bill,

Have you been in contact with the NZ and AU Hales? They have both listed Aron Hale married to Ann Trigge/Ann Trigger. There is no real documentation with either work though and I have been unable to verify their work. The NZ family has done research in FOD and there is an account of what they found. I have it somewhere if you're interested. Perhaps there have been more transcriptions, I haven't searched recently.

How far back have you proven your line? Have you considered a link from the "Hales of Ruradean & Nailbridge" to your line? I can almost connect my Hales with theirs, two generations in between if I remember correctly.

Hi Jerry from an Aussie Hale!

Saw your chat with Bill White (sidhalemm, Ontario.) on the FOD Forum, and thought it would be useful to make contact.

Where does your American line fit in to the equation?

I had a very worthwhile trip to the Forest of Dean last Sep 2008, primarily to follow up my research into the Hale family of Littledean. Unfortunately could only afford 2 days in an extensive schedule. Of particular interest was St. Ethelbert's church & graveyard, Littledean Prison, and direct contact with the Hales of Ruardean & Nailbridge. Hale & Co. run a most efficient and impressive Timber & Building Merchant's business and they gave me a copy of their Anniversary brochure "Celebrating 40 Years of Incorporation".

I too have attempted to connect with their line but to date without success, although I am convinced if we can go back far enough we should strike pay dirt!

Would love to swap/share info if relevant.

Chris.
