Hi,
I have noticed, while search the Parish records for info. on George that at the time of his marriage to Mary his residence was in Ballysar, Ireland and his ocupation was listed as a Soldier. I know he lived with his parents in Homend, Ledbury in 1861 cencus. How can I find out what regiment he was attached to and the reason he was active in Ireland at the time of 1867?
Any help would be much appreciated.

Tnanx Slowhands,

Do you know of a website where I can research the 61st Regiment of Foot (South Glosters)? Do you know if they have a museum in the Gloucester area?
Thanks again.
