Thomas Hughes and Jane Hughes - My suggestions (General)
Refer to your pervious posting:
http://www.forum.forest-of-dean.net/index.php?mode=thread&id=12951
This is in response to your posting here and also to the email you sent me requesting help.
There are a couple of reasons why you are not making much head way with your query on this forum. Firstly the information you are seeking is for people which were living out the area of our scope. Like the name of this Web site indicates, we specialise in the area of the Forest of Dean.
The other reason is that you have researched this family back to the 1700s and once you have reached this point it all gets a lot harder to get further back due to the fact that there is no census data available to refer to and also parish records in general had less information recorded on them and it is often difficult to know if a particular entry is for the person you are seeking.
Like I have mentioned above I suggest you post your query on a Mailing list or forum that covers the area of Llantilio. By doing so you you will have a far better chance of someone helping you as the people involved often have access to local records which we do not have.
Additional to the mailing list I mentioned above there is also the Rootsweb Mailing list:
Rootsweb MONMOUTHSHIRE Mailing List
