Hi, My name is Patricia Worsley, my father was Alfred Simmonds who was born in Ruadean Hill in 1900. He was the Captain of the Ruadean Hill Cricket Team in the 1920's.
My husband and I are traveling from Australia to Ruadean in early September this year and if anyone could give me any information about my family etc. I would greatly appreciate it.

There are three photos of the team in 1920, 21 and 26 (when Alf Simmonds was captain) in Maurice Bent's book "Highest Point of Dean" (a history of the community on Ruardean Hill by a long-time resident) - though there is no mention of Alf in the text.
