William Davis b1805 Yorkley (General)

I am trying to trace my 2x g.gradfather on the 1841 census but have had no luck,even after trawling through thousands of records. Can any one help please? He married Sarah Griffiths on 26 Sep 1829 and they had 10 ten children in all. I can find them on all the following census 1851,1861,1871,1881,and the 1891.Sarah died in 1880 and William in 1893.
Any help would be much appreciated.
