Location of Princess Royal Colliery staff records. (General)
Does anyone know where I can find information about staff working in the Princess Royal Colliery from 1860’s to early 1900’s?
I believe my GGGrandfather Henry AMES worked there, as did his son Oswald. Henry is listed on his daughters birth certificate as ‘Colliery Proprietor’ and was living in ‘Prospect House’ Coleford, around 1890. I'm not sure if this is a colliery owned house.
I’ve tried the Gloucestershire Archives but they don’t have anything relevant.
Any help received would be greatly appreciated.
Many Thanks
