Thanks for info. someone printed me off some details of my gggrandparentsjames griffiths wife harriet meek and it said on it there place of residence was drybrook workhouse and james was a collier but when i look at ross workhouse residence they arny there. any ideas and are there any photo's from back i 1800 from drybrook or ruardean

I think you will be very lucky to find any before about 1850, Fox Talbot ( regarded by many as the inventor of modern photography) was capturing images around the late 1830's.

thanks for info just another question sorry to be a pest, just been checking james griffiths and harriet meek children there is baptism for ann eliza and amelia but not for elizabeth and my g grandad thomas could they have baptised some children but not others?
