ive managed to trace Noahs tree back thanks to this forum unfortunately ive had no joy trying to trace his Wifes side Charlotte Mason due to the fact that we had her Fathers name wrong Noah Married Charlotte in 1838 anyone who knows who her father and mother were and her mothers maiden name please let me know!Duncan

I am wondering if Charlotte is showing on the Census in 1851 under another surname.

She appears to have been born in 1841/42, if her mother died / father remarried she probably would be under BARNARD,
if father died / mother remarried then she could be under any surname, or,
if she was born out of wedlock she may not have been christened a BARNARD,

or the family may be non-conformist and failled to register the birth, and there is not Anglican baptism ( the marriage was in the Congregational church)

or, other scenario s :-)

Thanks Slowhands! I have managed to work out with yours and others invalueable help that Noah Masons wife Charlottes Father was a Phillip Barnard who was married to a Ellen Baldwin whos Father was a Cornellius Baldwin.Phillip Barnards Father was Thomas Barnard who married Mary Goode in Abenhaul in 1799.So now all i have to do is trace the Baldwins and Goodes!I saw a Mary Goode on the Gloucester records sight dated 1811 also a Caroline Goode dated 1877 discribed as a Hawker and in Gaol not sure if there related!Thanks again Duncan
