Hi - Do you know when Rachel tavelled to Australia? There is no Rachel Curtis born 1874 in the 1881 census, was she in OZ. And no Rachel N Curtis registered in 1874, so I think this Rachel is as close as you are going to get, especially if you know she left Britain before 1881. Two Rachels one in Norfolk and one near London I think are non starters. I think it's worth getting the birth certificate.

Not many Curtis families in the 1871 census that would be registered Westbury on Severn (East Dean)Edwin and Emma who are still there in 1881 no Rachel.

In Lydney there's a young couple Thomas and Martha with a son Lewis age 7 months, but they are still there in 1881 no Rachel

A widower Jacob age 55 is there with two daughters in Westbury, Julia 13 (16 when Rachel was born) and Sarah age 12

I'll gamble on Julia, she's not there in 1881 and I would think any marriage would be registered Westbury, Jacob dies there in 1879 age 64. Of course Rachel being a Curtis would be illigitimate, is that the reason for emmigrating. Good luck Fred All guess work
