Catharina CHRISLEY nee HADDOCK (General)

by unknown, Friday, July 31, 2009, 09:47 (5668 days ago)

Catharina CHRISLEY (CHRICLEY) married William Fisher 8th May 1858. She was a widow and of full age. Her residence was Lower Works and her father was Rollins HADDOCK, Hammerman. Witnesses to the wedding were Rollins Haddock and Jane Haddock. The only Catherine HADDOCK that I can find was daughter of Rollins and Charlotte HADDOCK but she was born in 1844. Can anyone shed any light on Catharina CHRISLEY's background please.

Thanks in advance
Sue Bell

Slowhands, as always you have turned up trumps.

It does seem that Catherine is one of my HADDOCKs although I had no knowledge of her and only came across her second marriage by chance.

Thanks once again
Sue

Katherine HADDOCK 1729 English Bicknor (New Weir area)

by unknown, Sunday, August 02, 2009, 08:35 (5666 days ago) @ slowhands

Thanks again slowhands. Not sure she is one of my HADDOCKs yet as I haven't managed to get this far back but will store her in my "reserves" just in case.

My earliest Catherine is Catherine HADDOCK chr. 8 Jul 1749 at Aberavon. Daughter of William HADDOCK and Ann. Their other children, all baptised at Aberavon were Martha (chr. 27 Oct 1752), Rawlins (chr. 12 Sep 1754) and Marshall/Marchal (chr. 4 Jan 1756).

Rawlins HADDOCK (chr. 12 Sep 1754) married Elizabeth Williams and is the father of Catherine Fisher nee Chrisley nee HADDOCK who you kindly found for me.

Have no idea yet whether my HADDOCKs originated in The Forest of Dean and migrated to Wales or the other way about.

Thanks again for your time and help, it is very much appreciated.

Regards
Sue
