Family history records (General)

Did you know that when you have completed (!) your family History and it is ready to hand on to your children, you can also offer your work, or a copy of it, to the Society of Genealogists?

They are keen to gather all Family History archives so that no research is lost. So if your own descendants appear to be disinterested your work will not have been been for nothing, and will be available for others too.

My apologies to all who already know this, but it was new news to me.
