1841 Census - George, Richard and Maria Malson. (General)
The 1841 census lists a household in Coleford comprising George Malson (48), Richard Malson (73) and Maria Malson (41). I'm assuming Richard is Richard Malson (1768-1866) who was married to Hannah Yearsley/Yearsly/Yeasley, which leaves me wondering who George and Maria are. They seem to appear again in 1851 as a married couple.
I am speculating that maybe George was George Yeasley (bap. 1792, mother Hannah Yeasley) who married Maria Trigg in 1818 and that he was now going by his step-father's surname. Am I unrealistically trying to shoehorn facts in, am I perhaps being reasonable, or is there a simpler explanation I haven't come across yet?
Thanks,
Graham
