John GAMMON 1545 Dymock ? (General)
Hi Slowhands,
Thanks for looking this up for me. However, I am looking for a lady by the name of Johan GAMMONDD. You are probably right that she was baptised in Dymock as I found these:
Alis GAMOND baptised 27 Sep 1551 Dymock, Gloucester. Parents Edmund & Jone GAMOND (FofD)
Rychard GAMOND baptised 23 Dec 1563 Dymock, Gloucester. Parents Edmund & Jone GAMOND (FofD)
Thomas GAMOND baptised 30 Jun 1566 Dymock, Gloucester. Parents Edmund & Jone GAMOND (FofD)
Hunfraye GAMOND baptised 22 Sep 1577 Dymock, Gloucester. Parents John & Alees GAMOND (FofD)
Elnere GAMOND baptised 2 Mar 1577/78 Dymock, Gloucester. Parents Edmond & Joane GAMOND (FodD)
John GAMOND(E) baptised 27 Sep 1579 Dymock, Gloucester. Parents John & Ales GAMOND(E) (FofD)
Margaret GAMOND baptised 30 Apr 1581 Dymock, Gloucester. Parents Edmond & Joane GAMOND (FofD)
Sibble GAMOND baptised 29 Apr 1582 Dymock, Gloucester. Parents John & Ales GAMOND (FofD)
I had thought it was probably a safe bet that her parnts were Edmund & Jone GAMOND of Dymock and they had moved to Much Marcle before Johan married in 1570. But knowing of other GAMOND couples baptising in Dymock (your William & Annis and I also found Ric & Kateryn in 1541) puts a different light on it. Now I really need to find her baptism.
I've never been very good at looking up film/fiche numbers at the LDS, lol so at least I now have the film number that I can order in if needs be. Do you have any idea why there is a second citation of the same records showing "Film: NONE"?
I already did a search of the IGI both through the LDS site and through Hugh Wallis' site and neither has the marriage which is shown on the FofD site as:

I was hoping that someone who had the film could take a look for my elusive "Johan" who most likely will be Johanna, Joanna, Joane, Joan or Jone.
Many thanks for all your help.
