James Phelps and Prudence Goode (General)

by Jean Herbert @, Leeds Yorkshire, Friday, August 21, 2009, 18:52 (5647 days ago)

Would it be possible for someone to find the parents of:
James Phelps born abt 1780 and Prudence Goode born abt 1785. I have their marriage records from this site but would now like to go a little bit further back in time if possible. I have all the children of the marriage but on the actual record of marriage it does not give either of the couples father's name.

As there are so many people who lived in the Forest that had the same name, it is important that you provide us with the with a location of where the people you are seeking lived, or where they were baptised, married or buried. → Make sure you include: Name - Dates - Location

There are 3 possible baptism records I can find in the parish records database which you probably have already seen:

James PHELPSE baptised 1785 at Awre
James PHELPSE baptised 1786 at Awre
James PHELPS baptised 1778 at Kempley

Not strong contenders (but all possibilities) as Awre is about 18 miles away from Abenhall which is the parish on the marriage record you have already found. Kempley is about 12 miles from Abenhall.
