SURNAME: EDWARDS (General)

Edward Edwards married Lucy Jones in 1868, both aged 18 yrs, in Tredegar, Monmouthshire. In 1871 Census, RG10/5319 Folio 62 Page 8 in Tredegar, Edward is 22yrs born in Tredegar; in 1881 census RG11/5242 Folio 57 Page 15 in Tredegar, Richard Edwards aged 50 yrs, is head of house with Edward his son, aged 31 yrs with wife Lucy and Son James. Both Richard & Edward are listed as born in Gladwell, Gloucester, there is an apparent mistranscription by the L.D.S., for a respected colleague from Woolaston does not know of this place - thought it might be Abnell (Abenhall); however neither Richard nor Edward Edwards of their respected ages in 1881 census can be found. Can anyone help, please?
