My wife Elaine Kear born 1952, in Castleford, West Yorkshire is descended from
Enoch Kear b.14 September 1800, Bream who married Mary Baldwin 21 August 1824,
St Briavels. Their son Elijah Kear, born 15 October 1837, Whitecroft, West Dean,
married Ann Phillips, 25 December 1862, St John's Church, Ruspedge, Glouc..,their
son, Elijah Thornton Kear, 22 August 1867, Little Dean, married Clara Mason,
10 February 1889, Castleford, West Yorkshire. Their son, Harold Kear, 8 December
1898, Castleford, married Doris Sykes 7 May 1921 Castleford, their son Harold
Renwick Kear 3 July 1927 Castleford is the father of Elaine Kear 21 November
1952, Castleford. Is anyone connected to this line?

We have Phelps, Herbert, Brain and other immigrants from the Forest of Dean in my husbands tree. The mainly arrived in Castelford area to work in the mines.

Elijah Kear was the brother of my great-great-great grandmother Edith, so you have distant Kear relatives here in Canada :)

My daughters are descended directley from Elijah kear and their greatgrandmothers' family is from Castleford.
Their Great Greatgrandmother was fanny Kear who married Albert Jenkins,she was the youngest child of Elijah Kear.

My GGGrandmother was Charlotte Kear b.1825 who was sister to Elijah b. 1837. I have a tree on Genes Reunited if you're registered there.
