I am trying to find the death/burial of Jane. She is shown as a 60 year-old widow on the 1881 Census, but I can't find a death in this area for a Jane of the right age.

Ah! So possibly died between 1881 and 1891 then? Thanks.

It has just occurred to me that she may have remarried?

Thanks to Marilyn & Bertha. I think William probably was Mary Ann's child as I haven't been able to find him with any of the sons of Charles & Jane. You have finally found the skeleton in the cupboard!
