Here is the baptism of John SIMMONDS which is on our website, it has basically the same information that you found elsewhere.

There are a few Bastardy Bonds held at the Records offices. A bastardy order meant that a father was responsible for the maintenance of a bastard child. It does however appear that these were rarely applied for by working class people in the period in mention and they relate mainly to those people higher up the social ladder.

I myself have never come across any sites that list children born out of wedlock and giving possible names of the father. If there are such sites I don't know how they could possibly speculate who the father of a child born out of wedlock was.
