Variations for the surname WILCE (General)

Does anyone know if the other variations for the name wilce could be wells, welles, willes, wills or willis.

Have found a few entries in Deerhurst under the above name spellings from 1569

I have also obtained a copy of a will for a William Wilse for 1674 from Gloucester Archives in it he states the area of Deerhurst, whether this is in my line I don't know the only thing that appears relevant is that he has a son called William Wilse/Wills.

Therefore I am assuming that william wilse/willis/wilce born 1615 approx may be the william wilse/wills/wilce mentioned in the will.

The will is 9 pages long and I am at present translating it.

Could this will of William Wilse be the father of the William Wilse/Wills/Wilce born 1615 I am still looking for a will for the william wilse born 1615 if he has one to see if there is a mention of his son John.

This will is in some parts hard to read have only got a few more words to try and translate hopefully.

Any surname that sounds similar to WILCE when it is spoken could be a variation of the name.

If you do an open search of the Parish Records by typing WILCE in the surname box and checking the soundex option it will bring up some of the variations.

another theory i have could the William Wilse born 1615 approx have actually been born 1619 then he would of been 21years old when John his son was born in 1640.

If this could be then the Will I have translated of William Wilse will dated 1674 would of been born 1599/1600.

William Wilse who we have down as an estimated birth of 1615 had two sisters with partners and the said sisters where married with children of their own as mentioned in the Will.

In the Will of William Wilse his wife is Alison.

William Wilse is the sole executor of the Will and there is no mention of other brothers only sisters.

there is a mention of Hardwick in the parish of Elmoston in the County of Glos.
Also Deerhurst mention, Twigworth wood is also mention.

Any suggestions welcomed
