To enhance family history, I'm looking for anecdotes and traces around my grandmother's siblings and their successors. They were children of Henry Sterrey and Clara Ann nee Pritchard who lived at 29 Albert Street. Can you help?

My grandmother was born Frances Sterrey at Lydney on 18/03/1888.

Arthur Ernest Sterrey, 1886-1951, known as Art, married Rose Emily Houlday or Houldey and worked at Lydney Docks, as did his son Albert Henry Hector, known as Bert. Bert married Kitty Baxter and they lived in Harrison Way, Tutnalls, and had a son Gregory. A lady believed named Edie Houldey is believed to have visited Mariann ("Marie") Essex at Bathurst Park, Lydney, date unknown, along with a daughter named Zandra, and may also have had a son working at Edmonds Farm.

Florence Sterrey, born 29/12/1889 Lydney, attended the wedding of Frances to William Frank Essex at Lydney in 1913 but collapsed and died at Lydney Town Station the following day (I have an inquest transcript.)

Francis Bertie Sterrey, 1893-1962, known as Frank, lived in Forest Road and worked at Lydney Junction engine shed. He was married to Lydia McLean or McClean, known as Lil, who nursed at Lydney Hospital. Their son Alan was still living in Lydney in 2007 having recently lost his wife Florence nee Morgan (known as Jill), that death being noted in the Lydney Old Grammarians magazine.

Oscar Henry Sterrey, 1895-1980 (born Lydney, died Torbay, Devon) became postmaster at Bourton-on-the-Water. He married Mildred Lott and after her death married her sister Kathleen. By Mildred there was a son Robert b. 1921 and a daughter Kathleen b. 1926.

Evelyn Ivy Sterrey, known as Ivy or Eggy, born Lydney 1897, continued to occupy 29 Albert Street in the early 1950s. By marriage to Tom Salcombe she had a daughter Florence Myrtle who married Harold Beard, and they had a son Peter.

Finally Hilda May Sterrey, born Lydney 1899, married George Virgo. They lived in Fairfield Road. Their children are believed to have been Zeana, Margaret, Ron and Jane - order not known, but the first two were alive and in Lydney in 2007, as was Zeana's son Brian Clutterbuck.

Contacts/information gratefully received, thanks.
