Rev Edward ROBERTS 1873 Bombay (General)
I have found a large number of clergymen in my father's side of the family (no Forest of Dean connection). There are usually extensive records if they were missionaries for the C of E. If you can find the missionary society which employed them you will probably find there are archives. I found one missionary society had a huge number of records on one vicar in my family, including photographs of him, his wife, his sister, his children, mother-in-law etc. I have also found a great deal just from "Googling" their name too as they can be mentioned in church minutes, on grave stones, as the vicar of a particular church or patron of some church activity. Also you might be able to find where he was educated and an obituary in the same way.
