Welsh Wills FREE online (General)

The National Library of Wales have begun placing all the Welsh Wills pre 1858 online free of charge with a searchable index. Monmouthshire is complete and these Wills may assist you researching your FOD families.

When using the search engine, the parishes are spelt completely different to what I have in my index, so if you spot a will, search by date saving that date then by forname and surnames in 2 different columns.

At this moment in time there is some maintainance to the site, so a bit slow.

One Tip if you searching several Wills at the same time, always click on your search which will be located at the top of the first Will you look at, otherwise you lose your search results.
