Seasons Greetings 2009 (General)

by slowhands @, proud of his ancient Dean Forest roots, Sunday, December 20, 2009, 08:30 (5527 days ago)

Once again another year draws to a close....

.......one in which we have spent many hours remembering those who went before us - their occupations, sacrifices and spirit - and Loved ones who have departed this year.

As we reflect on our own recent past, may I wish all who use this site whatever this time of year signifies to you, a Merry Christmas and Peaceful New Year.

Good health.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone!

Thanks to Dave and Slowhands for all the help they have given again this year :)

Dave, thinking of you and remembering your dad, who you 'intoduced' me too all those years ago when your site was primarily the Watkins Family History.

Thanks to all transcribers for all their hard work this year.

A Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all on this Site. Some of us may have been blown to even the other side of the World, but we all retain that love and warmth for that magic place, The Forest of Dean.

Happy Christmas and all the best to everyone in 2010. As with the other responses, thanks to everyone, Slowhands, Dave Watkins and all the transcribers for such effective responses over the past year. The website is much appreciated and valued. No doubt if the snow continues everyone will be in doors looking at the website over the holiday period.
Let's hope too that 2010 brings the restoration of the Forest of Dean Heritage Centre and that any artefacts are backed up by digital photographs of them so that at least some record will remain!
