A Lucy from is shown on 1851 census as wife of a William Browning aged 37 or 39, widowed on 1861, aged 45, and on 1871 aged 60. I can't find a marriage on the BMD indexes as yet. Some researchers have her as Lucy Lydia. From the following transcript, she could not have been born 1813.

She was a 5th cousin

Thanks for posting the transcripts, Slowhands. Only the 1871 census gives a dob of 1811, which would tally with her baptism. Still sceptical though - need a marriage record, so a certificate can confirm. Will keep searching!

Just received a copy of the "Lucy who married William Browning"'s funeral card; she was Lucy Lydia Jane Browning, died 1879 aged 66. Since she seems to have come from Mitcheldean, perhaps there was another Lucy Lydia Jane bn 1813 - ?? Any ideas anyone?

i wonder if you are looking for a pair of marriages ?

Given the youngest son William Edward is registered in St Georges in 1842

This later marriage may be what we see in the 1851 census

Thanks again, a possibility for sure. There was a Lucy Baldwin aged 35 in 1841 census, a fs in Cavendish Square. Have searched the male Foys for a marriage, to no avail as yet!

Lucy is a 1st cousin to me due to her Marfell roots, so I will await the outcome of your deliberations with interest.
