Joseph MATTHEWS murdered at ye Wood-End, Awre (General)

I have found this listing for the death of Joseph Matthews buried the 31st March 1782 parish of Awre, cause of death, murdered March 26 at ye Wood-End. I have searched the inquests on here in vane, anyone know anything about this please.
