DAVIES, Archibald Ivor Born 1905 in Ruardean (General)
Born 1905 in Ruardean, son of Alfred William DAVIES and Florence Daisy May DAVIES (nee Gibbs). Also known as Ivor. He was originally a miner but changed profession to baker. Had his own bakery in the main street in Mitcheldean possibly before moving to Coventry early 1930's. Was bombed out of bakery during World War 2 in Coventry and returned to Mitcheldean until around 1949. Does anyone have any photographs or memories of him or his bakery please?
