BROWNS of Brockweir (General)
Henry Brown and his wife Elizabeth lived in Brockweir from 1805 to 1838 when he died due to an accident. He was a ship's carpenter. Their children were Ann b. 1805; Ann and Mary b. 1807 (can't find a death for the first Ann); Elizabeth b. 1809; George (my 2x gt. grandfather) b. 1811; Mary b. 1813 and William b. 1816. These children were all baptized in Tintern, but place of residence was Brockweir.
Does anyone have any knowledge of this family? I have hit the proverbial brick wall as I cannot find any birth information for a Henry Brown. I periodically go on Mike John's site and try for any updates, but to no avail. Because Henry died before the 1841 census I have no knowledge of whether he was even born in the county. I cannot find a marriage of a Henry Brown to an Elizabeth either. Would appreciate any ideas.
