The Rising Generation of the Forest of Dean picture

I have no idea when it may have been taken, or who the children are. Can anyone help?

At the top of the picture which is not very clear, is the name of F N Jones, 12 Gloucester Road, Coleford. His name appears on many of the photos I have received for inclusion in the Photo Gallery. I know he was operating in 1906 but up to what year I don't know.

This collection of photos by him would have been of Forest of Dean children he had photographed over the years. I would imagine he has trimmed and cut the photos and pasted them on a board to create one single picture in a poster style. A feat that would have taken some time to complete in those days but would be a lot easier and quicker today now we have computers.

They have a better copy sent in by another contributor - it is a postcard posted August 16th 1905, so it was obviously taken some time before then. They believe F N Jones was at 8 Gloucester Road, although he was certainly at No 12 when he took a photo of my Mother in 1921. And I believe he was operating from 8 St John St Coleford around the turn of the century (see the photo I posted of Joyford Baptist Chapel)
F N Jones married my Great Aunt Francis Matilda (VAUGHAN)b. abt 1869.
