Thank you so much for this information - sounds like Sophia was born out of wedlock taking her mother maiden name.

I don't have anything specific on Margaret or Sophia Trigg, but I do have a little information on the Triggs in general in the Abenhall, Westbury and Newnham area. I suspect that they connect to two separate Thomas Trigg gentlemen in the 17th and 18th centuries. If you are interested, I can look the information out, but his would be best done off list as it might be voluminous - so by all means email me at [Deleted by admin - see Posting Guidelines]

Can anyone give me any information on Jemima
What information are you seeking? Please tell us.
There is a posible marriage in our parish records for Jemima at Mitceldean in 1808. Is that her? If you provide us with some background information it will help us to help you.
Clearly state what information you are seeking
For example, if you are seeking your ancestor's parents' names, state that. If you are looking for a marriage record, provide what related information that you can, i.e. approximate year of the event and the possible location.
It is difficult for someone to provide an answer, if they do not clearly understand the question.
You will find more tips of what to include in a query in our → Posting Guidelines

All the information I have is that Jemima was Christened on 17/7/1785 at Westbury-On-Severn and her parents were William and Elizabeth Trigg.
I am trying to work out if she had a child called Sofiah Trigg christened on 7/12/1806 at Abinghall but her name is recorded as Mimey. So are Jemima and Mimey the same person? I would appreciate any information.

if you Google Jemima and Mimey it is clear from the results that Mimey is often used as a nickname for Jemima.

Jemima Trigg married John Voyce in Mitcheldean on 15/12/1808 but she had a daughter previously called Sofiah Trigg 1806.
Can anyone confirm this?

I have searched IGI but not resolved the issue. In one entry Mimey was recorded as Minney.

Hi
I'm trying to trace the Barnett/Barnard family and have ended up here.
If my findings are correct, Sophia Trigg(e) would be my gt gt gt grandmother?
However I am confused as the names Barnett and Barnard seem to interchange both in the parish records and on census information.
My grandmother was Annie Sophia Barnett b 1889.
Annie's parents were Timothy Barnett b 1857 and Maria Phelps b 1863.
I think Timothy's parents were Timothy Barnett b 1830 and Jane Anne Morse.
The Timothy b in 1830 would be the son of William Barnard or Barnett and Sophia Trigg(e).
However, as stated earlier, there appears to be a transition of names in the 1841 and 1851 censuses and in some of the parish records. Can anyone explain this and does anyone have any furthr information about Annie Sophia Barnett's siblings.
Many thanks
Steve
