Rev. Samuel Duance (General)

I was talking to my mother today about Samuel DUANCE. My mother was Myrtle Abbott DUANCE and she remembers visiting Rev DUANCE and his wife in Lydney Gloucester when she was a little girl. She said his wife was called Minnie (would this have been a derivative of Marina, family/pet name or some such)? Mother also said that Minnie died and Uncle Sam remarried.

My granny married Isaac Duance in 1941. She already had 2 girls from her marriage to Ernest Thomas Adullam DUANCE. They did not have any more children.

I note you were asking for burial information. Surely as a minister in a congregational church he would have been buried in his own or a local chapel? Grampy and my Uncle, Gerald Downing were both methodist local preachers on the North Hill circuit.

I keep trying to pump mother for more information but she isn't interested in family trees and doesn't remember very much and some days more than others.

I am sorry I have no more information but would be glad to know if information I have is correct and if you could expand upon it for me at all please that would be marvellous.

I am new to this forum and am not sure how it works but if you would like to email me directly the email address is M_ann1@blueyonder.co.uk

I look forward to hearing from you
