Hi, my name is Richard Collins, Prudence Collins/Gibbs was my great great grandmother. I have done a lot of research into her and her offspring. Morgan Gibbs was her child from her second marriage, he died in 1917 (Prudence only died in 1916) and is buried in Abersychan, somewhere I have a copy of his funeral card - I'll look for it if you are interested.
Like you (thinking you were Welsh) I thought we were a forest family through and through but my Collins line only came to the forest when Prudence and James married, he was from Berkshire. This is addictive stuff!
