Hi,

I have stumbled across youe inquiry and frankly am in a state of shock! I believe your Mabel the child of Elsie Parsons is my mother. My mother was born in October 1916 to John O'Neale and Elsie Parsons and never knew her own mother beliveing all her life that her father and mother were divorced. Mum was raised by John O'Neale until he died in 1929. I know next to nothing about my mums heritage and since she died in 1997 I have been trying to find out as much as I can with little success, until I found your inquiry. Mum was born on the 18th October 1916 at Onslow Mews Kensington London and I knew her father John was Irish and working as a chauffer. Her birth certificate shows his surname as Neale although he was definately O'Neale. We beleive he anglicised mums surname as being Irish in 1916 was not popular.

I hope you don't mind but I would love to explore with you to confirm if this connection is true?
