One of mine died in Westbury Union in 1907. The records are in GCR at Gloucester. My GGrandmothers Father, James Evans died there in 1907. He's buried at St John's Cinderford (Entry 1157 13Aug1907 90 Years). I researched the WU Diary for 1907 but there was no mention of him. I was also surprised that he died in the Workhouse as it were. His daughter, my GGGmthr. (1840-1918) lived in Soudley as did his sister's family (Sarah Welch/Evans 1829-1905). James 1817-1907 had been a policeman in Newnham (Warrant No. 300, joined 14Aug1840).
